Detroit Public Library African American Booklist
Each year, the Detroit Public Library publishes a themed African American Booklist. The 2023 Booklist focused on cookbooks. Prior booklists focused on theater, women, children’s literature, Detroit’s 1967 rebellion and famous Detroiters. The booklists are available for downloading and printing in PDF format.
Multicultural
The Center for the Study of Multicultural Children’s Literature is one of the leading educational research centers in multicultural literature. Each year, the CSML publishes a Best Books List. The first list was published in 2013.
